The Cooley Smiles team together outside the practice.
The coffee bar in the Cooley Smiles waiting area.

Dr. Gary Cooley opened this practice in 1969. His sons grew up in Bellevue, went to dental school together, and joined their father here in 1997. Our hygienists bring their own families in for checkups. Some of our patients are the third generation of theirs.

That is the whole pitch. Meet the five dentists.

Three reasons people do not leave

A family practice that can also do the hard cosmetic work.

Most practices are one or the other. Being both is the reason households stay with us for decades rather than switching when the work gets complicated.

Dr. Aaron Cooley, Dr. Brandon Cooley and a member of the clinical team.
01

Cosmetic work by dentists who went back to school for it

The problem: cosmetic dentistry is barely taught in dental school, so most general dentists learn it on patients.

Both Dr. Aaron and Dr. Brandon are graduates of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the largest post-graduate cosmetic dental facility in the world. Dr. Brandon also holds a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. Veneers, makeovers and reconstruction are designed here, not ordered.

02

Comfort that is not just a word on a website

The problem: most people do not avoid the dentist because of the dentistry. They avoid the room.

A coffee bar. Massage chairs. Paraffin wax treatments. An in-office hand and foot massage therapist. A television in every operatory. Nitrous oxide and oral sedation if you want them. The office was rebuilt in 2009 to feel closer to a day spa than a surgery, and it still does.

One practice, five neighbourhoods

The problem: the office that suits your Tuesday does not suit your daughter’s Thursday.

Bellevue, Kenmore, Everett, Kirkland and Lynnwood. Same records, same standard, same family. Book wherever is easiest this week, and your notes are already there when you arrive.

All five locations

We see children from age three, and a large share of our patients bring the whole household to the same office. Treatment, timeframes and cost follow a full examination.

Over 1,000 five-star Google reviews

Nobody believes a dentist. They believe the last patient.

Six of ours sat down in our own consultation room and said what they thought. Unscripted, and not by us.

★★★★★

The best dentist ever, from a person that hates going to the dentist. They have always been amazing, patient and caring.

I have never had a dentist or doctor’s office so upfront about the cost of a procedure before. Thank you Cooley Smiles.

Our staff has been with us for years and bring their families in for checkups. We have some patients that have been with us for more than two generations.

Common questions

Questions patients ask first.

Do you see children?

Yes, from age three. We are a family practice by design, and a large share of our patients bring the whole household to the same office. Several of our own staff bring their families here too.

What will my first visit cost?

Cosmetic consultations are complimentary. For everything else you get a written estimate before treatment begins, with your insurance portion separated from yours. New adult patients completing an exam, x‑rays and a cleaning also receive a free custom bleaching kit.

Do you take my insurance?

We are in network with almost every insurance. Send your details at least two business days ahead and we will confirm your benefits before you arrive. We also offer 0% financing over twelve months on approval, with no credit check.

I am nervous about the dentist.

So are a lot of our patients, and it is why the office looks the way it does. Nitrous oxide and oral sedation are both available, and every operatory has a television. Dr. Brandon is certified in conscious sedation.

Which location should I book?

Whichever is easiest. Bellevue, Kenmore, Everett, Kirkland and Lynnwood are one practice, so your records travel with you.

Can I get a second opinion?

Yes. Bring the plan and the x‑rays and we will go through them with you. We ask for a full examination first, so that the opinion you get is actually ours.
